There are two types of fatty liver diseases:

Non alcoholic Steato Hepatitis, a potentially serious form of disease which is marked by the liver inflammation, which may progress to scarring and irreversible damage. If no proper care or attention is duly given, it can progress to Cirrhosis Of Liver or eventually to Cancer.
